The most popular tour in Santorini is the Volcano-Hot Springs- Thirassia trip.

It has a great affordable price and the guests have the chance to explore the three islands inside the Caldera of Santorini. The Nea Kameni Island (volcano), the Palea Kameni (hot springs) and the Thirasia Island. Also this is the only tour that starts from Oia.

The tour starts from the two small ports of Oia, Ammoudi 10:15 and Armeni 10:30. The Ammoudi port has access through the steps near the castle of Oia (near the Sunset point) and also through the street. There is a small parking place and you can park your car or mote easily. The Armeni port has access only through the steps near the Skala restaurant in the Centre of Oia. There is a free roundtrip transfer provided by a mini bus for the guests that stay in Oia village. One of the 10 meeting points is definitely near to your hotel. Guests who stay in Imerovigli, Fira or Firostefani can meet the bus at the central bus of Oia.

The traditional boat is specially designed for sailing tours and so it is very spacious and it’s equipped with shade, bar and a W.C. The crew and the guided tour will welcome you on board and the boat will sail towards the Volcano, for the first stop of the tour.
In a short time the boat will arrive at the Volcano and the boat stops there for 1 hour and 30 minutes. The guided tour speaks English, French and Greek of course and she will inform you about the history of one of the most important volcanoes in the whole world. She will also guide you to the top of the Volcano and so you will have the chance to see on of the craters. If you are lucky and there is no wind you will have the chance to see the steam coming out of the crater. We suggest that you wear a hut, sunglasses, comfortable shoes for walking and take from the bar of the boat or before the tour a bottle of water.

The next stop is at the Palaia Kameni Island and at the famous Hot Springs. The water there is warm (and not hot) but is great because you can take the sulphur and have a mud bath. There you will swim for about 30 minutes. The people that don’t like to swim can stay on the boat. The sulphur is doing a very good job to your skin but not to your swimming suit, so is better to wear an old bathing suit or a dark one.

Last stop before returning to Oia village is at the 3rd island of the Caldera, the Thirasia Island. The most of the guest go to one of the restaurants (taverns) and enjoy the Greek plates and the fine wine. You have also the chance to go for swimming at the beach of Korfos or you can take a donkey and go up at the Manolas village. The Manolas village is a traditional Greek village that the time has not touched it yet. There you can meet some locals and you have great photo opportunities there, because you can admire the whole island of Santorini.
