Athinios port is the main port of Santorini.

From Athinios port you can take a ferry to all Greek islands.

At the most ports of the Greek islands you come across a port with a whole town or a village behind it. Athinios port is not like all the other ports, and people are surprised when they arrived in Santorini with a ferry. It is a small port with few parking places, 5 or 6 cafes and shops, a small building as a waiting area and an enormous rock above all that.
Although, it is small, it manages to welcome thousand of tourists every day, it well protected from the bad weather conditions and you can find local transportation and taxis when a ferry arrives.
There is a big effort from the authorities to improve the main port of Santorini.
